As a rider

- Competed for many years at G.Prix level (twice Italian champion, two silver medals and three times bronze medal) riding many Grand Prix horses in his career;
- Competed in many C.D.I.’s and first ever Italian rider participating to the World Equestrian Games (1982 Lausanne with Scorpio). Competed in two European Championships and selected many times for the Italian team

As a judge

- Official International judge. Has attended, in this capacity, at the most important shows (Schoten, Rotterdam, Arnhem, Asti, Vienna, Aachen, Stuttgart, Donaueschingen, St. Hertogenbosch, Dortmund, Lingen, Hickstead, Bremen, Lecco (Barzago), Jozefin, Saumur, Lipica, Stadl Paura, Wiesbaden, Amsterdam, Munich, as well as at various international shows in Canada and USA) ; has judged Dressage European Championship for Juniors and Young Riders, four World Cup Finals, 2001 European Senior Championship. Has judged 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and as President of the Ground Jury at Gotheborg 2003 and Amsterdam 2006, 2005 European Senior Championship in Hagen, President of Ground Jury for 2007 European Championship in La Mandria Turin and President of Ground Jury at World Breeding Championship 2008 in Verden
- Furthermore technical delegate at 2002 World Cup Final
- Member of the jury for 2010 world Cup Final in St. Hertogenbosch and President of Ground Jury for 2010 World Championship Young horses in Verden

National Activity

- Responsible for 7 years within the Italian Equestrian Federation for dressage judges training and formation.
- 4 years member of the National Federation Board
- President of various Committees (e.g. for the issuance of National Dressage Regulations, for the revision of National Dressage tests etc.)
- National judge attending all the most important events in Italy (Championships etc.)
- Nominated “Excellence” instructor by Italian National Federation in 2012

As an organizer

- Organized the first European Dressage Young Riders Championship held in Italy (Cervia 1987)
- Organized three editions of the C.D.I. in Villanova D’Asti and assisted in various other C.D.I.’s held in the past in Italy (Rome – Venice – Monza, etc.) and then directly involved in organizing the CDI of Barzago (Lecco – Milan) for about 10 years and nowadays in CDI La Mandria (Turin)
- Dressage show manager at 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome with full responsibility for the dressage section and personal consultant of the President of Italian Federation in the administrative and legal activities connected with the Games
- Show Director at CDI in LA MANDRIA (TURIN)
- Organized 2005 European Championship Juniors and Young Riders in Barzago (Italy)
- Event Director CDI 2006 in La Mandria (Turin) and committed in the preparation of the organization of 2007 European Championship in the same place
- Nominated President of Aideo in December 2006
- Member of Dressage Committee until November 2008
